Differences between Brazilian and American movies

Comparing the current Brazilian cinema with the old, we can say that our cinema has improved relatively. Brazilian films speak only of drugs, money and violence.

The first and major difference between the two markets is the funding source of audiovisual projects. While in Brazil the main resources are derived from tax incentives of federal, state or municipal order, or direct transfer of public bodies by way of notices and funds; US private enterprise is predominant in promoting the productions with direct sponsorship, which are seen as a business with all the risks.

The US production model is governed by executive producer. The chain revolves around him, and technical and artistic functions contracted according to each project, including the director, showing the result to be achieved with the finished product. At the same time, they are already closed distribution agreements and exhibition, which causes them to have time for the film to come into commercial distribution, and is distributed to movie theaters. In the Brazilian model, usually only focus on the financing, production process and its execution, directing almost all of the resources for this step. This causes many films produced are literally filed and not even have a public display, which is disastrous because, as we have seen, the flagship model of promoting the Brazilian production is fueled by tax incentives granted by the government. This regardless of the perspective of the investor, which sometimes designates resources to a product with no visibility.

The truth is that Brazilian cinema is not yet configured as a industry , but as independent producers clusters that seek to articulate how can to produce their films.

In Brazil, the entertainment industry is closely tied to what is consumed in the United States in both the audiovisual and in the by-products generated by it , it is difficult to be a global marketing action as seen in the case of the great American films. This happens simply because Brazilians do not consume the Brazilian film in order to create a culture to be commercially exploited.

Influences of movies on society

If you are a certified fan of movies, it certainly had influenced you a lot in your decisions, thinking, mood, views, and etc. Movies are of the best choices of recreation. There arecurrently thousands of movies produced by different film industries today.

As scientists and doctors have proven through careful studies and research, the impact of violence really depends on the personality and character traits of young adults and children. Achild or teenager who has been brought up in an abusive family and has been hit as a child ismore likely to dash out at other people especially if they have just seen a very violent films.

On the other hand, there are films that will serve as your sources of information and knowledge. Research-based movies give you influence of research and inventing new things. A historical movie tells about the ancient times and their lifestyle which urges man to adopt or in some manner, influence from them. Classic movies give classic arts and lifestyle. These films are usually the sources of students for research purposes and it also serves as a means of broadening their knowledge about different things because it is more lively and perhaps, entertaining.

As part of our society, we should always be aware of what is going on around us. We should participate in cooperating for the betterment of each of us.
